The story of the prodigal son has always facinated me. Here's a son who leaves the safety of home and everything that his father taught him was good, to go and explore dead end streets. Then realises his fault only to home to be, not only welcomed, but honoured by his father. How much greater is God's love for you?

I wrote this song while working away at a coal mine. The men I lived with while working there were great guys, but they lacked God. The Lord really opened my eyes to the real need that those people had for Him in their lives. So this song is a challenge to them to accept God, where ever they're at.
